Overview

LD (Liberal Democratici = Liberal Democrats)

The LD were founded in 2007 by Lamberto Dini (whose initials are also "LD"), former leader of Rinnovamento Italiano that had become part of La Margherita. It is currently led by Daniela Melchiorre. As a centrist party it has switched alliances several times, but did not contest the February 2013 elections. One of the alliances was for the European elections in 2009, in this case with MAIE. The joint symbol was also used on white flags [1]. I don't know if the general party symbol is also used on flags.
